Is Pasteable free?

Yes — Pasteable is free to download and use, including unlimited local history, instant search, and collections. Cloud sync and multi-device (universal clipboard) are part of Pasteable Pro: $5/month or $50/year, managed in-app. Local-only use never requires a subscription.

What is Pasteable Pro?

Pro unlocks cloud sync so your clipboard follows you across every device — copy on Mac, paste on Windows, and your phone too. It’s $5/month or $50/year (two months free), cancel anytime from the in-app billing portal. Everything else works free, offline, forever.

What platforms does Pasteable support?

Pasteable runs natively on macOS and Windows (10 & 11, 64-bit). Both builds are available from the download section on this page.

Is my data sent to the cloud?

Only if you choose to. By default, everything stays on your machine in a local SQLite database and works fully offline. If you sign in and enable sync, your clips sync across your devices so you can copy on one and paste on another.

How much history does Pasteable keep?

By default, Pasteable keeps the last 90 days and the most recent 5,000 items — whichever is more generous — and it’s fully configurable in Settings. Favorites and pinned clips are never auto-deleted, and removing a favorite gives it a fresh 90-day grace window before it can be cleaned up.

Will it slow down my computer?

No. Pasteable is optimized for performance with virtualized lists, FTS5 search indexing, and minimal background overhead.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Pasteable is offline-first — your history, search, and collections all work with no internet connection. Sync simply catches up when you reconnect.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export and import your database, and create backups at any time from Settings. Your data is always yours.
